What is 'Above Down Under'?
Above Down Under is a project by Kramer Photography, and seeks to 'showcase the best of Australia from the air'. It is a project that Dee has had on his heart for over a decade, when the catchy name first popped into his head.
We are blessed to call the South Coast of New South Wales home, and never cease to be amazed by its diverse landscapes. Our latest expedition is entitled ‘Above Tasmania’ and aims to capture the spectacular landscapes of the island state from an aerial perspective.
How We Get 'Above'
We are often asked - 'What do you do to get high enough to take these photographs?'. The answer is - whatever it takes!
From hanging outside helicopters, to plummeting towards earth in biplanes, to paramotors - Dee has done it all!
More recently we have been using RPAs (Remotely Piloted Aircraft, otherwise known as UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) or more colloquially as drones).
We are fully licensed - holding both a CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and Remote Operators Certificate (ReOC), together with Public Liability Insurance.
